Vice President Joe Biden will be going into Thursday’s debate with “a bayonet in his teeth,” according to GOP strategist Mike Murphy.

Following Mitt Romney’s strong debate performance Wednesday, Murphy contended on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Biden will head into his face-off against Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) with the Obama campaign looking to make up ground and in “attack mode.”

GOP contender Mitt Romney delivered a well-received performance in Wednesday’s debate, with polls showing most viewers believed he beat the president. Many liberal supporters of Obama also expressed disappointment with the president’s showing.

On Sunday, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, also warned Republicans that he expected Biden to perform well on Thursday to help the Democratic ticket regain momentum.
