The White House shared the first family’s Thanksgiving Day menu on Thursday, as President Obama celebrates the holiday in Washington with his family.

The Obamas and their guests will dine on a feast including turkey, ham, both cornbread and oyster stuffing, greens, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and green bean casserole.

{mosads}Topping off the meal are six different kinds of pie: banana cream, pumpkin, apple, huckleberry, cherry and sweet potato pie. 

The Obama family has kept the same menu since their first Thanksgiving in the White House in 2009. 

The president also marked Thanksgiving day by calling ten members of the armed services, a tradition Obama has held every year. The White House said the servicemembers were all “deployed in support of the war in Afghanistan.” Obama called two individuals from each branch of the military to wish them a happy Thanksgiving and thank them for their service. 

Earlier Thursday, Obama also sent out a tweet featuring a black and white family photo to followers.

“From this family to yours, happy Thanksgiving,” said the president’s tweet.

In his Thanksgiving Day address, Obama said the nation had much to be grateful for and expressed the hope that Americans who had just completed a hard-fought election would use the holiday to remember what unites us as a country. 

“As a nation, we’ve just emerged from a campaign season that was passionate, noisy, and vital to our democracy. But it also required us to make choices – and sometimes those choices led us to focus on what sets us apart instead of what ties us together; on what candidate we support instead of what country we belong to,” said Obama.

“Thanksgiving is a chance to put it all in perspective – to remember that, despite our differences, we are, and always will be, Americans first and foremost,” the president added.
