Graham, the son of famed evangelist Billy Graham, questioned the president’s faith when responding to questions last week on MSNBCMorning Joe.

All I know is under Obama, President Obama, the Muslims of the world, he seems to be more concerned about them than the Christians that are being murdered in the Muslim countries, he said.

Graham said at the time that he could not say whether or not Obama is a Christian, but added, Hes come out saying hes a Christian, so I think the question is, What is a Christian?

Members of the the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People criticized Graham for the comments, saying Graham was using faith as a weapon of political division. The presidents of several branches of the Baptist, Methodist and Episcopal churches signed an open letter to Graham expressing concern.

Grahams apology statement emphasized that he still disagrees with Obama on his positions on abortion and same-sex marriage.
