A former Democratic congressional aide pleaded guilty Tuesday to sexually abusing two women under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the Washington Post reported Tuesday night.

Donny Ray Williams, who served as a staff director for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs subcommittee, pleaded guilty to third-degree sexual abuse, two misdemeanor counts of sexual abuse and one count of misdemeanor threats.


Prosecutors say Williams invited a colleague to his apartment in 2010, spiked her drink with a sleep aid and raped her while she was asleep. according to the Post.

A month later, prosecutors allege Williams gave a woman alcoholic drinks and had sexual contact with her when she was too drunk to consent.

Prosecutors plan to seek a suspended prison term and five years of supervised probation.
