The demonstrator stormed the stage moments after former president took the stage outside the Hy-Vee Hall — where Hillary Clinton and other Democratic presidential contenders will speak at the Iowa Democratic Party’s annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner.
The man held up a sign in favor of animal rights and tried to lead the crowd in a chant.
Bill Clinton first acknowledged the protester and even lauded him.
“Give him a big hand,” the former president said. “At least he’s for something.”
But after a few moments, Clinton grew impatient with the demonstrator.
“We got it, will you please quit now?” he said as security removed the interruptor.
