"I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct,” the Republican presidential front-runner said in an early morning tweet. "Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!”

Trump has taken issue with Kelly since the two faced off in last summer’s Fox News debate — the first Republican debate of the 2016 election cycle.

Trump’s last throw down with “The Kelly File” host was similarly punctuated by the b-word.

The rivalry was restarted Tuesday night after the real estate mogul announced through his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, that he would not be participating in Thursday’s Republican debate, which is slated to air on Fox News.

In a pre-rally press conference in Iowa City, Iowa, Trump referred to Kelly as a “lightweight” and a “third-rate reporter” and suggested he would be sitting out the debate in favor of a charity event benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project.

Kelly quickly responded on her show by declaring that she would not step down as moderator.

Her network soon followed suit with their own response, accusing Lewandowski of threatening Kelly and vowing to not to give into “terrorizations."
