On a foreign excursion in Africa to draw attention to animal poaching, Sen. Flake and his crew were visiting Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia last week to see firsthand the effect of wildlife trafficking and on one occasion got too close to several elephants protecting their young.

The elephants were captured on video charging the caravan, flaring their ears and trumpeting to scare the intruders away.
