Poll: Economy is most serious problem facing America

Americans see the economy as the biggest challenge facing the nation, according to a Gallup poll released Thursday.
The poll found 17 percent believe the United States’s economic climate is the most serious problem, with 15 percent picking dissatisfaction with the government and 11 percent who say unemployment and jobs.
{mosads}Immigration and healthcare tie for fourth place, at 8 percent apiece. Race relations and terrorism follow, with 6 percent each.
The economy was also cited as the nation’s biggest challenge in the February version of the same poll.
Dissatisfaction with the government had been chosen as the most serious problem in the January edition.
Gallup conducted its latest poll of 1,019 adults nationwide via cellphone and landline telephone interviews from March 2 to 6. It has a 4 percent margin of error.
