Warren attacks Trump’s ‘lame’ nicknames, Twitter fighting style
Trump had earlier Friday gone after Warren, nicknaming her “goofy Elizabeth Warren” in response to Warren’s tweetstorm earlier this week labeling Trump a bigot.
“ ‘Goofy,’ @realDonaldTrump? For a guy with ‘the best words’ that’s a pretty lame nickname. Weak!” Warren tweeted, dismissing Trump’s penchant for giving his rivals insulting nicknames.
“We saw what happened when birthers like @realDonaldTrump attacked @BarackObama. They lost big. American voters knew better,” she added in a later tweet.
“@realdonaldtrump is a bully who has a single play in his playbook -- offensive lies thrown at anyone who calls him out.”
Shortly after Warren’s series of tweets, Trump responded late Friday with a few of his own.
The presumptive GOP presidential nominee bragged that he got under Warren’s skin, continued hammering the “goofy Elizabeth Warren” nickname and called her “weak and ineffective.”
