Dem senator's name misspelled on convention screen

PHILADELPHIA — Sen. The Hawaii senator’s name appeared as “Mazie Mirono” on the giant screen behind the stage inside the Wells Fargo Center as she spoke. 


Hirono, the first Asian-American woman elected to the Senate, delivered a brief speech in a series of remarks by members of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus.

“I support Hillary ClintonHillary Diane Rodham ClintonBiden to debate for first time as front-runner Top Trump ally says potential Amash presidential bid could be problematic in Michigan Chaotic Trump transition leaks: Debates must tackle how Democrats will govern differently MORE because she is a lifelong champion for women, children, and families,” the Japanese-born lawmaker said.
