Kirstie Alley hits Obama for playing golf amid La. disaster

Actress Kirstie Alley slammed President Obama for continuing to play golf during his annual summer vacation while Louisiana deals with devastating floods.
{mosads}In a tweet, the actress, who endorsed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump earlier this year, linked to a video of Obama speaking in 2008 in New Orleans.
In the video, the president criticizes former President George W. Bush in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, saying he “only saw the people from a window of an airplane instead of down here on the ground trying to provide comfort and aide.”
In Alley’s tweet, she wrote: “Or on a golf course in Martha’s Vineyard instead of in Louisiana.”

The president will visit the site of intense flooding in Louisiana next week as part of the ongoing federal response to the natural disaster.
Obama has faced criticism over the past week for not visiting sooner and for instead continuing his annual summer vacation.
Trump visited the state last week.
