Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Monday went after former New York Rep. Anthony Weiner (D), calling the husband of a top Hillary Clinton aide a “pervert sleaze.”
“What about the fact that Huma Abedin — who knows every single thing about Hillary Clinton, she knows more about Hillary than Hillary knows — and she’s married to a pervert sleaze named Anthony Weiner, who will send anything that he has out over Twitter,” Trump said on “Fox and Friends.”

It’s not the first time Trump has attacked the campaign of the Democratic presidential nominee through Weiner, who resigned from Congress in 2011.
In June, Trump accused Abedin of sharing sensitive information with her husband, saying at the time, “Who the hell wants that? It’s not right.”
The Clinton campaign ripped Trump last year for “patently false, personal attacks towards a staff member” when he initially poked fun at the pair’s marriage and alluded to the former congressman’s admission of repeatedly sending sexually explicit material via Twitter and texts.
Trump’s latest comments Monday came when asked on Fox News about a New York Post article from over the weekend about Abedin’s time at the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs working under her mother.
Trump called Weiner a “pervert sleaze” and sent several tweets Monday morning attacking a host of the MSNBC program “Morning Joe” as “a neurotic” the day after his new campaign manager insisted that the GOP nominee “doesn’t hurl personal insults.”
