Under the headline "2003 clip backs up Trump on Iraq War opposition," Fox News posted a clip from "Your World With Neil Cavuto," in which Trump criticizes then-President George W. Bush for not being decisive.
"Well, he's either got to do something or not do something perhaps, because perhaps he shouldn't be doing it yet," Trump said in 2003.
"And perhaps we should be waiting for the United Nations,” he added.
“Well, I’m starting to think that people are much more focused now on the economy,” said Trump at the top of the clip. “They’re getting a little bit tired of hearing ‘We’re going in, we’re not going in.’ Whatever happened to the days of Douglas MacArthur? Either do it or don’t do it.”
"I was against the war, I thought it would destabilize the Middle East. I didn't realize it would be managed so badly," Trump added.
Trump was pushing back against accusations from debate moderator Lester Holt that he initially supported the Iraq War.
Howard Stern in a 2002 radio interview asked Trump whether he supported invading Iraq.
"Yeah, I guess so," Trump replied. "I wish the first time it was done correctly."
