“Donald Trump is the right's Anthony Weiner,” Beck told Business Insider, adding that “this will only end in epic shame.”
“I would hope that conservatives will take a step back and see who they are looking to as their champion,” he said.
“For the good of our credibility I would beg people not to defend this or excuse this horrific behavior. If this was said in front of you, what would you say? If your son said this, what would you say? If it was said about your daughter or it was your wife, what would you say?" Beck asked.
A newly released tape of Donald Trump sparked nationwide controversy on Friday, with numerous GOP leaders blasting Trump over the comments that were picked up on hot microphone in 2005.
In the tape, Trump can be heard making lewd statements about women and being sexually aggressive toward women.
"You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything," he says in the audio.
