NC county GOP headquarters firebombed

Police in North Carolina are investigating the apparent firebombing of a county GOP headquarters, according to The Charlotte Observer.
{mosads}A bottle of flammable liquid was thrown into a building housing the Orange County GOP headquarters in Hillsborough, N.C., in what one state GOP official called an act of “political terrorism,” the paper reported.
“The office itself is a total loss,” said Dallas Woodhouse, head of the state Republican Party. “The only thing important to us is that nobody was killed, and they very well could have been.”
Authorities said the vandals had written “Nazi Republicans get out of town or else” on the side of a nearby building.
“This highly disturbing act goes far beyond vandalizing property; it willfully threatens our community’s safety via fire, and its hateful message undermines decency, respect and integrity in civic participation,” Hillsborough Mayor Tom Stevens said in a statement.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton tweeted about the attack on Sunday afternoon, and the state GOP responded with thanks.
The attack on the Orange County HQ @NCGOP office is horrific and unacceptable. Very grateful that everyone is safe.
