The father of one of the police officers killed in the Dallas sniper attacks in July is suing Black Lives Matter for inciting a “war on police,” according to the Associated Press.

The lawsuit was filed by Enrique Zamarripa, whose son Patrick Zamarripa was one of five officers killed when a gunman opened fire during a protest against racial discrimination by police.

The Nation of Islam and several other defendants were also named in the suit, which was filed in the Northern District of Texas Federal Court.

Larry Klayman, founder of the conservative group Freedom Watch, is representing Zamarripa in the lawsuit.

Patrick Zamarripa’s mother, Valerie Zamarripa, said in a statement that she would not be joining her ex-husband’s lawsuit.
