A pair of pro-Trump super PACs have filed a federal lawsuit in an effort to halt the vote recount in Wisconsin.
Great America PAC, the Stop Hillary PAC, and a Wisconsin voter claim the recount requested by Green Party nominee Jill Stein violates the due process rights of Donald TrumpDonald TrumpTrump defends indicted GOP congressman House to vote Thursday on holding Bannon in contempt Youngkin calls for investigation into Loudoun County School Board amid sexual assault allegations MORE voters in the state.
They also say the limited timeline is likely to result in counting errors.
Wisconsin officials have until Dec. 13 to complete the recount.
Efforts are underway in other recount states to block Stein’s request.
Lawyers representing the president-elect filed objections in Michigan and Pennsylvania, arguing that Stein’s request for a recount is “lawless” and “insulting.”
Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette has also filed a lawsuit to block the recount, calling it “frivolous and expensive."
