Sunday shows preview: Audition for Petraeus

Retired Gen. David Petraeus will get a spotlight Sunday as he seeks to be President-elect Donald TrumpDonald TrumpGraham says he hopes that Trump runs again Trump says Stacey Abrams 'might be better than existing governor' Kemp Executive privilege fight poses hurdles for Trump MORE's pick for secretary of State.

Petraeus will hit the Sunday show circuit with an appearance on ABC's "This Week" as the president-elect holds public auditions to fill remaining Cabinet positions in his incoming administration.

The Hill reported on Saturday that at the same time the former CIA director is up for the Trump job with other candidates, Paula Broadwell, the woman with whom he had an affair, is facing possible disciplinary actions from the Army.

A defense official cited the mishandling of classified material and issuing threats as some of the things Broadwell, an Army Reserves major, could be punished for.

Meanwhile, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) will make an appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation" after surviving a leadership challenge this week from Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio).

And Trump’s inner circle will be making the rounds to talk about the transition process.

CBS’s “Face the Nation”: Trump’s chief of staff Reince Priebus will discuss the transition process. Former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), who has advised Trump during the campaign, will weigh in on the president-elect.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who survived a run at her leadership post this week, will talk about how the caucus will move forward. And former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta gives his take on the transition and the nascent administration.
