Journalist faints, halting Obama press conference

 
A journalist fainted at President Obama’s year-end press conference on Friday, bringing the question-and-answer session to a halt. 
 
An woman abruptly lost consciousness about 40 minutes into the news conference inside the hot, crowded James Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House.
 
{mosads}Other reporters including liberal radio host and The Hill columnist Bill Press rushed to help her, lifting her into a chair and giving her water.
 
Obama stopped his comments on Syria and called for the woman to be given medical assistance, even offering directions to his doctor’s office. 
 
“Go through the Palm doors, it’s right next to the Map Room,” he said. 
 
The woman eventually regained consciousness about a minute later and was taken out of the room.
