Julián Castro: Trump will be 'shadiest, most corrupt' president ever

In a series of tweets, Castro lamented GOP majorities in Congress, warning that Republicans will offer Trump no resistance while Democrats would be able to stop Trump if they had control of the Capitol.


Castro, the former mayor of San Antonio, Texas, included in both tweets the hashtag #2018, referring to Democratic efforts to reclaim control of Congress.

President Obama appointed Julián Castro to lead HUD in 2014. Trump has nominated neurosurgeon Ben Carson to lead the department next.
