President Obama is speaking to reporters from the White House briefing room Wednesday afternoon in his final press conference as president.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest told Politico that Obama will use his final news conference to highlight his concerns about the restrictions on the media that the president-elect put in place during his campaign and transition, and what it might mean for his administration.

Earnest said Obama has been planning a final news conference similar to that of George W. Bush, which served as a thank you and farewell to the reporters who covered his presidency.

The press conference is expected to start at 2:15 p.m. Eastern. Watch live in the video above.
