Vice President Biden is slated to headline a fundraiser for New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan (D), who heads the country's first primary state.
The event will fuel speculation about a potential Biden run for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination in 2016.
According to local station WMUR, the event will not take place in New Hampshire, but at the home of lobbyist Jim Demers in Maine. Tickets will go for $500 to $5,000.

Earlier this year, Biden spoke in South Carolina, another early primary state. In May, he helped raise money for candidate Elizabeth Colbert Busch, who lost a special election against former Gov. Mark Sanford.
Biden has declined to close the door on a run in 2016.
Polls show former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the overwhelming early favorite for the Democratic nomination, but she has yet to weigh in on a bid.
