The White House added to a statement about President Trump's Sunday golf game, after it initially said he only played "a few holes" of golf on Sunday.

“As stated yesterday the President played golf," White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders said Monday. "He intended to play a few holes and decided to play longer. He also had a full day of meetings, calls and interviews for the new NSA, which he is continuing today before returning to Washington, D.C. tonight.”

The about face for the administration came after professional golfer Rory McIlroy posted that the two men had played 18 holes Sunday.

Trump spent the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. It's the third straight weekend he has been at the Palm Beach, Fla., club.
