A former U.S. attorney who was fired by President Trump earlier this year is attending former FBI Director James Comey’s Senate testimony Thursday.
MSNBC’s Greta Van Susteren tweeted a photo of Preet Bharara at the Senate Intelligence Committee’s hearing where Comey will speak about his meetings with Trump.

The Intelligence panel will question Comey about the circumstances surrounding his dismissal last month.
{mosads}Comey’s opening statement, released Wednesday, confirms reports that the president asked him to drop his investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn and repeatedly sought to influence the FBI’s investigation into Russian election meddling.
Bharara was fired from Trump’s administration after he refused to resign when asked by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Trump had publicly asked Bharara to stay on as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York shortly after Election Day.
He was one of 46 attorneys Trump fired after taking office.
Bharara built a reputation in New York by going after big banks and Wall Street.
He’s prosecuted nearly 100 Wall Street executives and brought legal challenge to the four largest banks in the U.S. He also closed a multibillion-dollar hedge fund as part of an insider trading settlement.
