"People take pictures of the shoes I wear, the bracelets, the necklace — they didn’t comment that for eight years he wore the same tux, same shoes,” the former first lady said at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose, Calif.


During her time as first lady, Obama said her outfits were carefully planned and often the subject of public scrutiny. Her husband, on the other hand, was "proud" of his ability to wear the same tux year in and year out.

“He was proud of it, too," she said. “He’s like, ‘I’m ready. I’m ready in 10 minutes. How long did it take you?’ I’m like, ‘Get out of here.’ ”
