Americans find former FBI Director James Comey to be more trustworthy than President Trump, according to a new Huffington Post/YouGov poll.

The poll shows that 46 percent of Americans polled say Comey is more honest and trustworthy than the president. The poll said 26 percent found Trump more trustworthy than Comey.

The survey comes just days after Comey testified before the Senate on Thursday, claiming Trump put him in a compromising position asking him to let go of the investigation into ousted national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Trump denied Comey’s claim Friday, going as far to say he would testify under oath to Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who was tapped to lead the investigation into Russian election meddling.

Comey also said Trump asked him to pledge loyalty to him, which the president also denied doing.

However, the poll shows just fifteen percent of those polled believed Trump’s account of events.

The Huffington Post/YouGov poll was made up of 1,000 interviews of U.S. adults that were conducted on June 8 to 9. YouGov uses a model-based margin of error that relies on a specific set of statistical assumptions and was not listed in the poll’s results.
