Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) tweeted on Wednesday that Secret Service agents could only "stomach" interviewing comedian Kathy Griffin for an hour and are now in "de-tox."

“Secret Service interviewed Kathy Griffin for 1 hr; they needed more time, but that's all they could stomach; Agents in de-tox now,” Huckabee tweeted on Wednesday.

Political reporter Yashar Ali tweeted on Monday that Griffin was interviewed by Secret Service agents for over an hour after she posed holding a fake severed head meant to resemble President Trump during a photo shoot.

Ali added that the investigation is still open.

Griffin sparked criticism with the gory image, released in May. After initially defending the photo, she apologized, saying she "went too far."

Days after that apology, however, Griffin said Trump was trying to "ruin" her life over the photo and said she was getting "constant" death threats.
