Colbert calls ‘nothing burger’ Trump Jr. emails an ‘all-you-can prosecute buffet’

Stephen Colbert is mocking Donald Trump Jr.’s “nothing burger” emails about setting up a meeting with a Russian lawyer offering compromising information about Hillary Clinton, calling the conversations an “all-you-can-prosecute buffet.”
{mosads}The late-night comedian noted on “The Late Show” that White House chief of staff Reince Priebus called Trump Jr.’s meeting a “nothing burger,” but said the emails have turned it into an “all-you-can-prosecute buffet.”
Colbert then started reading the emails out loud, but had a coughing fit.
“I’m sorry, I just got a little cough because of this smoking gun I just found,” Colbert said while holding up a prop smoking gun.
Colbert slammed Trump Jr. for responding to Rob Goldstone’s email by saying, “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer,” adding that he’s “not talking about a sparkling rosé with some toasted figs and some soft brie.”
Trump Jr. on Tuesday released a chain of emails about setting up a meeting with a Russian lawyer who claimed to have dirt on Clinton, then the Democratic presidential nominee.
