WATCH: Viral video shows protesters outside Capitol learning ObamaCare repeal bill would fail

A viral video overnight Thursday night showed protesters outside the Capitol break out into massive cheers the moment they learned the Senate GOP’s ObamaCare repeal bill would fail.

The video, shared by Splinter News reporter Emma Roller, captured protesters chanting “yes we did” after news the repeal bill failed.

{mosads}Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) cast the crucial surprise vote that killed the bill Friday morning and, at least temporarily, ended the GOP’s hopes of repealing former President Obama’s signature legislation.

McCain joined GOP Sens. Susan Collins (Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) in opposing the bill that would have repealed key parts of ObamaCare. It failed in a 49-51 vote.

The proposal, dubbed the “skinny” repeal because it would not have repealed big sections of ObamaCare, would have resulted in 16 more million people being left without insurance in a decade, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).
