The Secret Service said Sunday that an individual tried to jump a bike rack security barrier along the White House lawn before being quickly detained.

"An individual attempted to jump the bike rack security barrier along the @WhiteHouse North Fence Line. Immediately taken into custody," the agency tweeted.

This is not the first time an individual has tried to jump over a security barrier surrounding the White House.

A man accused of breaching the White House perimeter in March was on the grounds for at least 15 minutes before being captured by security while President Trump was in the White House.

The Secret Service arrested an individual in May who jumped a bike rack on Pennsylvania Avenue before attempting to climb the White House's north fence.

The federal government is planning to install a new, taller fence around the White House.
