Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Platt release mashup song with portion of proceeds going to ‘March for Our Lives’

Broadway stars Lin-Manuel Miranda and Ben Platt plan to donate a portion of the proceeds from their new mashup song to the anti-gun violence march on Saturday.

The song, called “Found/Tonight,” is a mashup of music from “Hamilton” and “Dear Evan Hansen.”

Portions of the proceeds will go to the “March for Our Lives,” the march being held in Washington, D.C., to protest gun violence and demand lawmakers take action to prevent it. {mosads}

A student from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. — where a gunman killed 17 people last month — promoted the song on Twitter, encouraging people to listen to it.

Students have been leading the charge on gun control since the Florida shooting.

Students who survived the shooting have been rallying lawmakers and demanding new gun laws to keep their schools safe.

Last week, students across the country took part in a nationwide school walkout, with many holding 17 minutes of silence to remember the 17 people who died in the Florida shooting.
