In an interview with CNN, Alana Evans said she plans to file a suit against Cohen "by the end of the month" after Cohen issued a statement to the Daily Beast denying her account of Daniels's supposed one-night affair with Trump, who at the time was recently married.

"Without mentioning me by name, it was a direct response to my story calling me 'fake news,' saying that the allegations were completely untrue and that the details of my story were untrue," Evans told CNN.

Evans, who is also an adult film star, says Cohen's denial hurt her credibility among her fans. In an interview with the Daily Beast in January, Evans described a conversation between herself and Daniels in which Daniels described the affair with Trump both during and after it allegedly occurred.

"She tells me, ‘All I’m going to say is: I ended up with Donald in his hotel room,'" Evans told the website.

Cohen denied the encounter at the time in a brief statement to the Daily Beast, but has acknowledged paying Daniels $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement in the weeks leading up to the 2016 election.

“These rumors have circulated time and again since 2011. President Trump once again vehemently denies any such occurrence as has Ms. Daniels," Cohen said.

Evans has also claimed that Daniels still has a dress with possible DNA evidence from the night of the alleged affair, a claim that Daniels's lawyer himself denied Tuesday morning.

"To address the rumor: We DO NOT have a 'Monica Lewinsky type' dress. Thus, there is no dress to be tested for DNA," Michael Avenatti tweeted.
