President TrumpDonald John TrumpLawmakers prep ahead of impeachment hearing Democrats gear up for high-stakes Judiciary hearing Warren says she made almost M from legal work over past three decades MORE on Monday retweeted posts by his former attorney Michael Cohen and Republican pollster Frank Luntz denying claims made in former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman’s new book.

Cohen on Sunday denied seeing Trump put a piece of paper in his mouth as Cohen was leaving a meeting with the president in 2017, something Manigault Newman claims happened, according to The Washington Post.

“To the many dozens of #journalists who called me, questioning @OMAROSA claim in her new book that @POTUS @realDonaldTrump took a note from me, put it in his mouth and ate it...I saw NO such thing and am shocked anyone would take this seriously," Cohen tweeted.

Trump retweeted that post on Monday afternoon. Minutes later, Trump retweeted Frank Luntz denying a claim in Manigault Newman’s book that Luntz heard Trump use the N-word.

“I’m in @Omarosa’s book on page 149. She claims to have heard from someone who heard from me that I heard Trump use the N-word. Not only is this flat-out false (I’ve never heard such a thing), but Omarosa didn’t even make an effort to call or email me to verify. Very shoddy work,” Luntz wrote Friday on Twitter.

Manigault Newman, who appeared on “The Apprentice” and worked as a White House aide to Trump before being fired earlier this year, makes several noteworthy claims in her upcoming book, "Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House,” which goes on sale Tuesday.

Earlier Monday, Trump tweeted several times attacking Manigault Newman, calling her "Wacky Omarosa" and a "lowlife" and saying he only gave her a job in the White House because she begged with "tears in her eyes."
