In a short video posted Monday morning, the former congressman sings "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" while an aide records the congressman driving down an unnamed highway.

But in May, he offered criticism of the GOP, saying it had been taken over by Trump.

"There is no Republican Party. There’s a Trump party. The Republican Party is kinda taking a nap somewhere," Boehner said at the time.

Boehner has been largely supportive of the president's policies, however, calling some of the Trump administration's policy actions "really good" in the same interview in May.

"If you peel away the noise and the tweets, the things that he's doing are really good things," Boehner said.
