As of Monday afternoon, Conway, a conservative lawyer, had retweeted seven tweets that cited various polls about Trump's declining approval. He also retweeted one from a CNBC reporter who notes former President Obama's approval was at 46 percent in 2010 — the same year Republicans retook control of the House.

Just 36 percent of respondents approve of the way Trump is handling his job as president, according to a new poll from CNN that was conducted by SSRS. His approval also dipped to 36 percent in a new survey released by Quinnipiac on Monday.

The Quinnipiac survey also revealed that 55 percent of Americans polled do not believe Trump is fit to be president. The CNN poll found that just 32 percent of respondents say they're proud to have Trump as commander in chief.

"Is President Trump fit to serve as president? 55% of Americans say no, according to this new Q poll," CNN reporter Brian Stelter tweeted in one that Conway retweeted. "Only 41% say he yes, he is fit."

Conway has frequently criticized Trump throughout his presidency, and retweeted last week's anonymous New York Times op-ed warning that Trump is a dangerous and amoral leader.
