Police in Washington, D.C., are investigating a shooting threat made on Twitter that referred to a rally supporting President Trump at the Trump International Hotel Tuesday night.

“I am coming with a gun and i expect to get numerous bloodstained MAGA hats as trophies,” a far-left Twitter account tweeted along with a picture of what appeared to be a gun.

{mosads}The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) confirmed to The Hill that it is investigating the threat. MPD vehicles were seen outside the hotel Tuesday night.

Twitter has since suspended the account that made the threat.

Cassandra Fairbanks, who organized the event, said in a post on the conservative website The Gateway Pundit that it was “a mix of several different pro-Trump groups including Virginia Women for Trump.”
