Man hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself in the groin

An Arizona man was hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself in the groin area inside a Walmart.
The Buckeye Police Department in Maricopa County tweeted Tuesday confirming the “self-inflicted accidental shooting” and that no one else was hurt.
{mosads}The man told police that he tried to reposition his loaded gun and keep it from falling when he accidentally shot himself, according to Arizona Central.
The semiautomatic handgun was being carried unholstered in the waist band of sweatpants, police said.
Police said no one else was hurt and that the man was taken to a nearby hospital with survivable injuries.
In addition to the injuries suffered, the man is charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm.
UPDATE: Adult male accidentally shot himself in the groin area inside the Walmart Watson & Yuma. Being transported to hospital. No other injuries.
