Russian pop star linked to Trump Tower meeting cancels US tour

A Russian pop star who reportedly helped arrange a 2016 meeting at Trump Tower has cancelled his U.S. tour. 
A lawyer for Emin Agalarov told NBC News that he was worried his client could be held in the United States under a material witness warrant as part of special counsel Robert MuellerRobert (Bob) Swan MuellerMueller report fades from political conversation Trump calls for probe of Obama book deal Democrats express private disappointment with Mueller testimony MORE's probe into the 2016 election and Russian interference. 
"He could come and do the concert but we don't want him to be subpoenaed or held under a material witness warrant or anything else," Scott Balber, Agalarov's lawyer, told the outlet. 
He added that Agalarov was "happy" to talk voluntarily with Mueller's team but that agreement on the "parameters" of a potential discussion had not been reached. Agalarov had been scheduled to perform in New York on Saturday.

Veselnitskaya previously told NBC News in 2017 that Agalarov helped set up the meeting, which has come under scrutiny as part of Mueller's probe, but that she had never met the pop star.
