The Miami Herald on Sunday published the name of every youth killed by guns in the past year as the nation marks the first anniversary of the deadly mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Fla.

The printed list came with a front-page story titled “Since Parkland."

In total, there have been 1,157 deaths in the 12 months since 17 were killed by a gunman at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and the national conversation around gun violence heightened.

The newspaper separated the deaths by guns into different categories, such as “school shooting,” “homicide” and “accidental.”

Included is an age breakdown of the victims who died throughout the year.

The complete list of names took up two full pages in the newspaper.

Thursday marked the first anniversary of the Stoneman Douglas shooting, which occurred on Valentine’s Day of 2018.

The March for Our Lives student-led movement that developed out of the tragedy and was instrumental in registering youth to vote in last year’s midterms “went dark” from Thursday through Sunday to commemorate the anniversary.
