The president's latest jab at Clinton came Tuesday after she announced she would not run for the White House again next year.

“ ’(Crooked) Hillary Clinton confirms she will not run in 2020, rules out a third bid for White House.’ Aw-shucks, does that mean I won’t get to run against her again? She will be sorely missed!” he tweeted.

Clinton was widely favored in polls over the then-businessman in 2016, but was dogged by allegations of misconduct after Trump framed the race as a referendum on Clinton’s character, making questions over her use of a private email server a centerpiece of the campaign.

Sources close to Clinton have told The Hill that while she will not make a White House run of her own next year, she will actively fundraise and work to unify a fractured party.
