Hundreds of people marked Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's 86th birthday on Friday by channeling her workout routine outside of the Supreme Court.
The #PlankLikeRBG trend started with a Facebook group called "Plank Like RBG 86th Birthday Celebration at Supreme Court." The event was planned by a female-founded activist merchandise company called "The Outrage," which has partnered in the past with The Women's March and the March for Our Lives.
More than 500 people indicated they planned to go to the event at the Supreme Court, and many others posted that they would plank at home or at their place of work.
Many gathered for a giant group plank, but throughout the day, reporters estimated hundreds came by and planked outside the Supreme Court to share their birthday wishes.

Ginsburg is the oldest sitting justice on the Supreme Court and has said she plans to stay there for as long as possible. She made her return to the court last month after being absent since late December due to surgery.
She has long been known for her vigorous and consistent workout routine each morning. The routine went viral last year after late-night host Stephen Colbert filmed a segment for "The Late Show" joining Ginsburg in her routine.
