Trump Jr.: Obama, Bush 'couldn't have done' what my father's done for the American people

President Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., claimed Monday that former President Obama and former President George W. Bush "couldn't have done" what his father has done for "the American people."

"My father won. He was able to speak to the American people," Trump Jr. said during an interview on Fox News's "Tucker Carlson Tonight," referring to the 2016 election.

"He's been able to move the needle for them in a way that Barack Obama couldn't come close to doing," he continued. "But by the way, it's not just a partisan issue. Bush couldn't have done it either."

Trump Jr.'s interview on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" came one day after Attorney General William Barr said in a letter to Congress that special counsel Robert Mueller did not find evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia in the 2016 election.

The revelation followed Mueller, who was investigating Russian interference in the election, submitting his final report to Barr.

During the interview Monday, Trump Jr. added that his father has "done incredible things" and said he could do more now that he's not in the "bubble" of the Mueller probe.

"Think of what he could do without that noise," he said.
