In a tweet, Conway pointed out that Trump tagged the wrong Twitter account, instead tagging an unrelated woman named "Megan Rapino," in his tweet Wednesday morning attacking the women's national team player over her comments about a potential White House visit.

"Amazing how he still finds new ways to demonstrate his incompetence—he is truly the best at that," Conway tweeted, adding: "I mean, we all make mistakes, but given the frequency with which he makes them ... I wouldn’t trust him with keeping a grocery list."

Trump fired back at Rapinoe Wednesday morning in a tweet after the U.S. midfielder said that she would not accept an invitation to the White House if the team were to win the ongoing World Cup.

"Women’s soccer player, @MeganRapino, just stated that she is 'not going to the F...ing White House if we win.' Other than the NBA, which now refuses to call owners, owners (please explain that I just got Criminal Justice Reform passed, Black unemployment is at the lowest level in our Country’s history, and the poverty index is also best number EVER), leagues and teams love coming to the White House. I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job!" Trump tweeted in a now-reposted tweet that contains Rapinoe's correct Twitter handle.

Conway, as husband to one of Trump's longest-running aides and former campaign manager, has made news since Trump's inauguration in 2017 with frequently vitriolic tweets aimed at the president.
