The chants Wednesday night showcase Ocasio-Cortez’s popularity among the progressive base, an appeal that has thus far been unmatched by any other freshman House member.

During her House campaign last year and her swearing-in in January, Ocasio-Cortez has sought to push the party further left on a host of issues, including climate change, health care and immigration.
