Lightning strikes multiple people at PGA Tour Championship: report

At least five people were injured Saturday after lightning struck at an Atlanta golf club hosting the PGA Tour.

Local Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB-TV reported that four adults and a juvenile female were struck while sheltering under a tree during a sudden storm. The extent of their injuries was reportedly unknown.


WSB-TV reported that play at the course has been suspended until Sunday. Video of the moment the lightning struck showed the tree being splintered by the strike.
