FBI seeks 'Mummy Marauder' in robbery

The FBI’s office in Houston turned to the public for help solving a robbery committed by a suspect dubbed the “Mummy Marauder.”

The office tweeted that it needed help identifying a man who robbed a bank on Friday, Sept. 13. They dubbed him the “Mummy Marauder” because he dressed with wrapping over his face and hands during the robbery.

The office’s official Twitter account shared photos from the robbery. Authorities identified the suspect as 5-foot-11-inch black man in his early 20s.

The man verbally threatened a bank teller and demanded cash, a public affairs officer for the FBI office in Houston told The Hill.

He then reportedly fled through the back before getting into a black Mitsubishi Montero with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A cash reward of $5,000 has been issued by the Crime Stoppers of Houston for information about the robbery, the FBI said.
