The owner of a Michigan auto body shop said that his Halloween display, which showed President TrumpDonald John TrumpHR McMaster says president's policy to withdraw troops from Afghanistan is 'unwise' Cast of 'Parks and Rec' reunite for virtual town hall to address Wisconsin voters Biden says Trump should step down over coronavirus response MORE holding former President Obama's head by a rope, went "too far" after people on social media denounced it as racist, according to the Detroit Free Press

"It was a Halloween decoration that I guess went too far," Quality Coatings owner Dave Huff told the newspaper Sunday.

He said that he has since changed the scarecrow to remove the depiction of Obama and added yellow tape that reads, "PC-POLICE."

He also told the newspaper that he is not racist and that "no race ever went into this thing."

The Detroit Free Press reported that people online said the rope looked like a noose, but Huff said it was supposed to represent a spine and a move from the video game "Mortal Kombat."
