A fire alarm went off as part of a drill in the White House Wednesday morning.

The alarm went off in the press area of the White House, forcing the White House and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building to be evacuated, according to reporters’ Twitter posts.

CBS reporter Sara Cook tweeted that people were evacuated for a few minutes before getting the “all clear.”

Kelly O’Donnell from NBC News posted that there wasn’t a fire.

White House spokesperson Judd Deere said Wednesday afternoon the incident was part of a fire drill.

The alarm went off as legal experts testified in front of the House Judiciary Committee as part of the committee’s first impeachment hearing.
