One person was killed and two others were injured at a shooting at an assisted living complex in Rhode Island on Thursday.

The 66-year-old shooter, a facility resident, also killed himself, police told The Providence Journal.

The woman who was killed was a reportedly 47-year-old employee. A 38-year-old worker was in critical condition and a 67-year-old resident was in stable condition, according to the newspaper.

Westerly Republic Schools were locked down after the shooting, although the lockdown was lifted Thursday afternoon, the Journal reported.

Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo (D) said in a tweet that she was monitoring the incident.

“I stand with the people of Westerly and all Rhode Islanders in coming together to support the victims and their families during this difficult time,” she wrote.

Westerly is about 40 miles from Providence, R.I.
