One killed, two injured in Rhode Island assisted-living complex shooting

One person was killed and two others were injured at a shooting at an assisted living complex in Rhode Island on Thursday.
The 66-year-old shooter, a facility resident, also killed himself, police told The Providence Journal.
The woman who was killed was a reportedly 47-year-old employee. A 38-year-old worker was in critical condition and a 67-year-old resident was in stable condition, according to the newspaper.
Westerly Republic Schools were locked down after the shooting, although the lockdown was lifted Thursday afternoon, the Journal reported.
I am closely monitoring the situation in Westerly and in constant contact with Rhode Island State Police Col. Manni. I stand with the people of Westerly and all Rhode Islanders in coming together to support the victims and their families during this difficult time.
