The Coast Guard is searching for four people after an explosion occurred when a dredging vessel in Texas hit a propane pipeline.

The Coast Guard said in a news release that two people out of the six-person crew have been rescued from the dredging vessel Waymon L Boyd after it caught fire in the Port of Corpus Christi Ship Channel.

The two injured crew members were rescued by a Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and transferred to Corpus Christi Medical Center - Bay Area.

The Coast Guard Captain of the Port of Corpus Christi has also closed the Inner Harbor.

The explosion took place at roughly 8 a.m. CT, and the fire has been contained.
